The following links are for the beta release of the Combined ToolBus/Plugins software, made available under the non commercial license. We hope that you enjoy using them. Please feel free to contact us at pathport@vbi.vt.edu with any questions, comments, or suggestions that you may have. Click on the desired distribution to start the download.

Once installed, use the PathPort link to launch the application. Initialization and startup take several minutes.

Windows Instructions:

Instructions

• After downloading, double-click toolbus-plugins to install the combined ToolBus/Plugins.

Notes

• If you get a write permission denied error, please check that you are not attempting to install over a preexisting installation. If you have a preexisting installation, either install this version in a different directory or remove the older version.
• You do not need to install any other software. A Java virtual machine is included with this download and is installed privately so as not to disturb any other Java dependent software that you may already have installed.

Mac OSX Instructions:

Instructions

• After downloading, double-click toolbus-plugins to install the combined ToolBus/Plugins.

Notes

• Requires Mac OS X 10.2.3 or later
• There are known difficulties in downloading ToolBus/PathPort using Internet Explorer. If you experience problems, please try another web browser.
• The compressed installer should be recognized by Stuffit Expander and should automatically be expanded after downloading. If it is not expanded, you can expand it manually using StuffIt Expander 6.0 or later.
• If you have any problems launching the installer once it has been expanded, make sure that the compressed installer was expanded using Stuffit Expander. If you continue to have problems, please contact us (pathport@vbi.vt.edu).

Linux Instructions:

Instructions

• After downloading open a shell and, cd to the directory where you downloaded the installers.
• At the prompt type sh ./toolbus-plugins.bin to install the combined ToolBus/Plugins.
